Holding Statement on Bandibuli Project

Holding Statement on the Bandibuli Floating Offshore Wind Project
We consider Korea to have the potential to develop into an attractive market for floating offshore wind due to the country’s wind resources and site conditions, localization of a world-class supply chain and climate ambitions.
Over the years, Equinor has invested in maturing the Bandibuli floating offshore wind project. We have undertaken community engagement, permitting, consenting and development activities, including seeking a viable power offtake solution to make the project investable and bankable.
Following the decision by the Wind Auction Committee of Korea Energy Agency, Equinor will now assess the way forward for the project.
